It was New Year’s Eve 2010 when I made a New Year’s resolution to give up on dating and just learn to be happy being single and independent. I had tried eHarmony, Match.com, Yahoo Personals, Plenty of Fish, Perfect Match, Craigslist and other various dating websites without success for five years and I finally gave up. On February 1, 2011, Allenm emailed me a short note introducing himself and thought we would be compatible. At first I was totally surprised and didn’t remember setting up a profile on InterracialMatch.com, but when I checked out his profile and saw his pictures, I was interested in getting to know him.
We emailed back and forth for nearly a week before we met in person at his church’s potluck in Orange County, CA. Although we were a bit shy around each other at first, we definitely clicked and decided to have lunch together the next day at a BBQ joint. After that, we were glued together at the hip.

We emailed back and forth for nearly a week before we met in person at his church’s potluck in Orange County, CA. Although we were a bit shy around each other at first, we definitely clicked and decided to have lunch together the next day at a BBQ joint. After that, we were glued together at the hip.
I don’t remember exactly when I first fell in love with him, but I was already looking at wedding dresses by May 2011. I had been single/never married with no children for 46 years and Allen had just ended a 20 year marriage due to his wife’s infidelity. I was definitely ready for marriage and Allen was unsure and a little shell shocked. We took things very slowly and six months after we met, we moved in together.
Allen is quiet, shy, and reserved when you first meet him, but he has a dry and wicked sense of humor. He is thoughtful, caring, considerate, loving, and affectionate. Most importantly, he makes me feel absolutely beautiful and calls me his “Little Ebony Goddess.” I feel so sexy and attractive in his arms and he treats me like the most desirable woman in the universe. I’m his queen and he makes sure I know it.
After nearly a year of dating, I asked Allen to marry me in January 2012. During a Leap Year, there is a tradition where a woman can ask a man to marry them. So I wrote Allen a letter telling him of my love and asking him to be my husband and he happily accepted. We originally wanted to have a small wedding in Temecula, CA on Saturday, May 5, 2012, but I found a job in March (after being unemployed for over a year) and we moved our wedding date to Saturday, March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day 2012). Surrounded by a few close friends, we were married at Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas (wore a wedding dress and green sneakers) and had a road trip honeymoon.
Right now, our future looks extremely bright. We are deliriously in love and spend most of our time together. People have commented on happy we seem to be with each other and are delighted that we found each other. Allen has a good job as an electronics technician and I work in a group home. We bought a house in Lake Elsinore, CA (Orange County is way too expensive) and are used to the hour-long commute to work. I am also attending Loma Linda University to earn my Master’s degree in Social Work. My goal is to eventually earn my doctorate degree in Psychology.
Another goal is to adopt a couple of children after I graduate with my Master’s degree in 2014. Not having children was a big regret for me and at the age of 48, I’m far too old to become pregnant. While Allen does have one 16 year old daughter from his first marriage, he recognized and acknowledged my regret and was open to adoption. The day he said yes to adoption was one of the happiest days of my life.
My experience on InterracialMatch.com was more wonderful that I expected. I met the man of my dreams on this website. He has become my husband, friend, lover, companion, and partner in crime. We absolutely love and adore each other and are each other’s biggest and most loyal supporters. Thank you InterracialMatch.com for making our dreams come true.

Advice to other members:
Sounds silly but when I gave up on finding love and learned to be happy on my own, that's when love found me.
Randall, sent me a smile/wink around the third week of November 22, 2006, we corresponded through several emails for four days, we exchanged telephone numbers and spoke on a Sunday afternoon, November 27-28 for several hours. At the time I lived in Nashville and he lives in Knoxville. About three weeks after talking and sending emails, he came up to Nashville to meet me, that was December 16,-17th 2006.
I knew he was OK because Shadow, my dog, did not bark and growl, he just woofed a time or too.Shadow was jealous because Shadow swatted him on his leg with his paw and he picked up a pillow and shook it it like a rag doll, which we still talk and laugh about.Shadow has since died.
He stayed at my house, against the advisement of my friends, but in my heart ,I knew he was not a bad person, he didn't make any moves to become intimate on our initial visit, THAT'S when I knew he has morals.
I have attached a picture of both of us, as mentioned in a previous email,...

We are both no longer members of this dating site, however with all the negatives you hear about dating sites, in this occasion, I believe that good does come from dating sites.

We met on this site 2 years ago.
It took me a whole year before she would even go out with me on a date .We met at Fridays it was just for happy hour .
We ended up talking for 4 hours and then she went with me to a cousin's cookout the next day .
She is the most warm and lovable person that I have met in my entire life .It took me a couple of woman to find the right one .
So our wedding is this saturday October 17 .
The site was very good made alot of friends as well.
I would recommend this site to others that are interested.

A friend had told me about the InterracialMatch site, so last Aug/Sept, i thought why not put a profile up and see what happens. I had been on my own for most of the last 10years, and living in Australia thought it would be virtually impossible to find a perfect man.. thankfully he found me! Michael's membership was just about to expire and he saw my pic and thought he would send me a message even though i'm half way round the world. I had only been registered for about 2 weeks, and i really liked his profile and what he was about so i replied. We sent messages back and forth for a week, then started emailing each other. It was funny as one day he had asked me "do u have that accent?" so i replied, "give me your number and i will call u", and i did. We continued to talk on the phone just as friends. I had a vacation booked to the USA in October, but unfortunately was only going to LA and Vegas, and couldnt make it to Tenn where Michael lives. However when i was on my vacation a dear f...

I had a vacation booked to the USA in October, but unfortunately was only going to LA and Vegas, and couldnt make it to Tenn where Michael lives. However when i was on my vacation a dear friend tragically passed away, and i was so upset and alone. Michael said "well u could always come to Tenn", and i thought u know what, im gonna do it! So i jumped on a plane to Nashville and instantly we clicked and had the most awesome weekend. When i got home, we spoke on the phone every single day since October, and we started planning for our next visit. I booked another vacation on May 15, to meet his family, daughter and spend quality time with him. I just got home yesterday, and it was incredibly hard to leave him again, but it will only be temporary, as i have come back to Australia to make plans to relocate my children and i, as soon as i can afford to. We had the most perfect 3 weeks together and the absolute highlight was Sat May 30, we went to BB King Blues Club in Nashville (the place of our first date last year), for my birthday. Michael surprised me with a stretch hummer, and then on our way he proposed! We are planning on a simple wedding, as we have both been married before, as soon as i move to USA. He is the most wonderful, sweet man, and i feel so blessed that he sent that first message. As corny as it sounds, I know we really are 'soulmates'. Thankyou to the InterracialMatch service, as without it, we would never have had the chance to meet. Nicole
